While concurrent session submissions for the 43rd USAEE/IAEE North American Conference is now closed, there is still time for students to enter the 2026 USAEE/IAEE Best Student Paper Award Competition — entries will be accepted through Monday, June 15.

Up to four Best Student Paper Award finalists will be selected to present their work at the conference, which will be held November 15-18 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Pittsburgh Downtown in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Not only do finalists receive recognition for their exceptional work, they also receive a cash award of $500 plus a conference registration scholarship. The finalist selected as the Best Student Paper Award winner will receive an additional prize of $500.

To be eligible for the Best Student Paper Award, entrants must submit a full paper by June 15. A letter from the student's advisor indicating that the entrant is a full time student (or recent graduate who is not employed full-time) and the paper is their work is also required by that date. Entrants must also be a current USAEE/IAEE members, while finalists must attend the conference to present their paper and receive their award. Papers already submitted as concurrent session abstracts are also eligible for consideration as long as eligibility qualifications are met.
